(2) Plunger The plunger is the part that is pressed when a person operates the switch, which can transmit the force received here to the dome. The shape of the operating part is flat and protruding, and the main models are provided with two types of products to choose from. Most of the plungers are resin injection molded products, but rubber materials are used to increase the operating stroke.
(3) Dumplings
In addition to the tactile effect mentioned above, the dome piece also doubles as a movable contact. A certain operating force on the plunger will cause the dome piece to sag, connecting the two fixed contacts and conducting the circuit.
After the operating force is released, the dome piece will return to its original shape, and the switch will be turned off. The material of the dome piece is metal and rubber. The former has a smaller operating stroke and can obtain a sharp touch; Long operating stroke for a gentle touch.
(4) Base
The base is the base part on which the main components are installed. The base is a resin injection molded product, which is integrated with the metal contacts and pins during injection molding, and uses a resin material that can withstand high temperatures of soldering. Contacts and pins are very important parts in the chassis.
The two fixed contacts are respectively connected with pins extending out of the switch. These pins are soldered together with the printed circuit board to electrically and mechanically connect the switch to the printed circuit board.
